The Tempest Play

 

This project is based on William Shakespeare's play "The Tempest", a stage design for The Gaiety Theatre. It is a 1:25 model handmade, built and designed by me and it's mainly inspired by the art and filmography of Georges Méliès, a visioner, and the mechanics of the 18th-century stage design. All along this page the design process can be appreciated and the mechanics of each scene understood. I used several programs and materials such as AutoCAD, Photoshop, Illustrator, Laser cutting, blue foam, miliput, mountboard, fabrics, etc. All this hard work is the result of my Minor project for my 4th and final year of college in IADT.
